Staffed hours end promptly at 10:00 PM. Arriving between 9:45 PM and 4:00 AM? Quiet hours from 11 PM. No smoking indoors. Guests must be at least 18 to stay without a parent or guardian. Valid government ID required at check-in.
All bookings are prepaid: we email you payment instructions with your confirmation, and your bed is confirmed once payment is received. Refundable in full before check-in — except festival periods (see below).

Knock hard at the front door — the doorbell is not always in service, so don't rely on it. Still no answer? Go to the back door and knock hard there; a light knock will not be heard.
Fire, medical emergency or immediate danger — call 911 first. Get to safety before anything else; in a fire, leave the building and call from outside. Once safe, call us at +1 929-310-8968 so we can help and account for everyone. Non-urgent health advice in Québec: dial 811 (Info-Santé, free, 24/7). Never delay 911 to reach us first.
The building has smoke alarms, a carbon monoxide detector, a security alarm and fire extinguishers. Like most buildings in the Plateau, there are fuel-burning appliances on site, so a carbon monoxide detector is fitted — please never cover or disable it. Visible security cameras cover the entrances, exits and certain common areas, and the exterior of the property; there are none in dorms, bathrooms or any private space. How that footage is handled is set out in our Terms and Privacy notice. A safety deposit box is available at reception for a fee. Reception is staffed from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM; outside those hours reach us on +1 929-310-8968.

Free street parking is usually easy to find in the non-resident zones around the hostel. Prefer a spot arranged by us? That's $10 per day — message us before you arrive and we'll point you to the nearest options.
On request: $45 one way, $75 return between the hostel and YUL. Book it with us in advance. Prefer transit? The 747 bus + metro takes about 30 minutes.
In dorms, every guest has their own assigned bed — beds are never shared. Travelling as a pair and want the top and bottom of the same bunk? Tell us when you book and we'll do our best. Couples who want to share one bed should book a private room. We're progressively adding privacy curtains to our bunks.
Our dorms are mixed. If a particular bed placement or a quieter room would make you more comfortable, tell us and we'll do our best to accommodate. We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy on disrespectful behaviour, so every guest can feel safe and at home.
